1. Recuva:

The fact that Recuva is on the top of the best data recovery software list, may not come as a surprise to the most of you. Some of the features that bring Recuva on top of the list of Best recovery software software are:

  • Ability to recover files from damaged or newly formatted files

2. TestDisk:

A list of best data recovery software can hardly be termed as being complete without a mention of TestDisk. Packed with features and a file recovery system that can easily overshadow that of any other data recovery software, TestDisk has a lot to offer for both novices and experts. Here are some of the TestDisk’s features:
  • Allows users to recover/rebuild the boot sector
  • Fix or recover deleted partition table besides being able to reliably undelete files from FAT, exFAT, NTFS and ext2 file systems.

Although being a command line tool, TestDisk may not be suitable for some users for data recovery.

3. Undelete 360:

With the looks of a typical Office application, the Undelete 360 is built on a fast yet efficient algorithm which enables the user to undelete files. Here are some of the features of Undelete 360:
  • Works on a variety of devices such as Digital cameras, USB’s etc.

  • Does a great job in recovering recently deleted files as compared to other free data recovery software

However, scanning speed needs major improvement and it also lags out its competition in terms of recovering data.

Puran file recovery works in 3 main recovery modes. These recovery modes are:

American Swimmer, Micheal Phelps Breaks 2,160-Year-Old Record At Olympics, Wins 22nd Gold Medal

American swimming sensation Michael Phelps is used to rewriting history and has now won an overall 22 gold medals at the olympics.
You have to go back around 2,160 years, give a week or two, to find an athlete who could challenge the imperious record held by the “Baltimore Bullet.”
The US star claimed the 22nd Olympic gold of his Olympic career Thursday after powering past the opposition in the final of the 200-meter individual medley.
That victory, the 13th individual triumph of his Olympics career, meant he surpassed the greatest athlete of ancient Greece and indeed of the Games — Leonidas of Rhodes.
Phelps, who took his tally to four gold medals at Rio by winning the event for the fourth consecutive Games, moved ahead of Leonidas after edging out Japan’s Kosuke Hagino and China’s Wang Shun.
The achievements of Leonidas, a runner who competed between 164 and 152 BC, were recorded by Philostratus the Athenian and Pausanias who told of his 12 triumphs, according to the official Olympics website.
Perhaps in another 2,000 years the stories of Phelps and his exploits will be shared around the table given his astonishing record.

South African Overtakes Nigeria As African Biggest Economy

International Financial organisation have revealed that South Africa’s economy has regained the position of Africa’s largest in dollar terms more than two years after losing it to Nigeria as the value of the nations’ currencies moved in opposite directions.

South African Overtakes Nigeria

The West African country, Nigeria, suffered it worse economic misfortune in the last in the last 14 months that President Buhari who have no economic direction or policies to sustain the former African biggest powerhouse mid-wived by the former leader, Goodluck Jonathan and his Economic Team.
According to the gross domestic product (GDP) at the end of 2015 published by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the size of South Africa’s economy is $301 billion at the rand’s current exchange rate, while Nigeria’s GDP is $296 billion (about $700billion in 20140. That’s after the rand gained more than 16 percent against the dollar since the start of 2016, and Nigeria’s Naira lost more than a third of its value after the central bank removed a currency peg in June.
Both nations face the risk of a recession after contracting in the first quarter of the year. The Nigerian economy shrank by 0.4 percent in the three months through March from a year earlier amid low oil prices and output and shortage of foreign currency. That curbed imports, including fuel. In South Africa, GDP contracted by 0.2 percent from a year earlier as farming and mining output declined.
“More than the growth outlook, in the short term the ranking of these economies is likely to be determined by exchange rate movements,” Alan Cameron, an economist at Exotix Partners LLP, said in e-mailed responses to questions on Aug. 2. Although Nigeria is unlikely to be unseated as Africa’s largest economy in the long run, “the momentum that took it there in the first place is now long gone.”
The South African rand rallied as investors turned to emerging markets with liquid capital markets to seek returns after Britain voted to leave the European Union on June 23, even as the central bank forecast the economy won’t expand this year and the nation risks losing its investment-grade credit rating.
The ruling African National Congress’s lowest support since 1994 in the Aug. 3 local government vote led to further gains on speculation that it will pressure the party to introduce economic reforms that will boost growth and cut unemployment.
In Nigeria, investors didn’t flock to buy naira-based assets after authorities removed the peg of 197-199 naira per dollar. The Central Bank of Nigeria raised its benchmark interest rate to a record in July to lure foreign money, even as the IMF forecast the economy will contract 1.8 percent this year.
Nigeria was assessed as the continent’s largest economy in April 2014 when authorities in the West African nation overhauled their GDP data for the first time in two decades. The recalculation saw the Nigerian economy in 2013 expand by three-quarters to an estimated 80 trillion naira.
The rand weakened 0.4 percent to 13.3323 per dollar at 7:56 a.m. in Johannesburg on Thursday, ending three days of gains. The Naira dropped 0.4 percent to 321.50 per dollar, heading for a record low on a closing basis.
